Intergraph CADWorx P&ID is intelligent P&ID software for creating P&IDs and associated documentation such as loop diagrams, datasheets, schedules and reports.
Use CADWorx P&ID to create P&ID drawings based on existing P&ID drawings, retaining the look of the drawing and the p&id symbols used. Existing P&ID symbols can have intelligence added quickly and easily. CADWorx P&ID Professional also allows the addition of component information linked to external databases and documents.
The P&ID symbols library is extensive, with the ability to add additional P&ID symbols and assemblies without programming. Symbols added have full CADWorx functionality and intelligence.
CADWorx P&ID Professional allows the easy creation of user-defined databases with bi-directional links to the project drawing; information is now always synchronised. This includes a link to CADWorx Plant Professional, with its ability to create the 3D CADWorx model using P&ID drawings data.
CADWorx P&ID 2010 features Process Line Inheritance. Data is added automatically to the in-line components based upon the relevant process line information.
AutoCAD 2010 and 64-bit AutoCAD are both supported by CADWorx P&ID 2010.

CADWorx P&ID Professional 2010 also includes:
Intergraph CADWorx Datasheets is a powerful utility for generating instrument and equipment datasheets. It can be used either standalone or to access intelligent data by linking to a CADWorx P&ID Professional project database.
The software contains separate Datasheets, Instrument and Equipment modules. CADWorx Datasheets is supplied with 90 datasheet template files in a plain Excel format. This allows ease of data entry and each CADWorx Datasheet can be further customised by the user from the P&ID drawings.
The datasheet modules use ODBC connectivity to link to the CADWorx P&ID drawings database. Data can be modified from either the Datasheets module or from within the P&ID software environment. Each datasheet contains a mapping table, linking individual cells within the spreadsheet to the instrument and equipment tables. Data is therefore synchronised between the datasheet and the CADWorx P&ID project database.
Datasheet templates in Excel format allows easy customisation. Existing Excel layouts can be reused simply by creating a mapping worksheet to determine which cells are to be linked between the Excel datasheets and the CADWorx P&ID project database.
The Excel format makes it easy to send datasheets electronically to suppliers or to internal personnel and departments. The recipient may update the datasheet in native Excel. When returned, this updated data may be fully synchronised with the CADWorx P&ID project database. The process and instrumentation diagram can then be fully synchronised with the CADWorx project database.
These can be produced in both the Instrument and the Equipment Datasheet programs. Each report style can be configured to deliver the required information from the CADWorx P&ID project database. Easy distribution and consistency of information with the project database results in efficient and effective project management.

Intergraph CADWorx IP allows automatic publication of P&ID drawings and their associated data. Users and authorised third parties can view the project using any internet browser.
Publishing a project also permits access to each component's database information, including any linked documents, from within the browser. This information and any linked documents can be viewed quickly and easily in the browser by simply clicking on the P&ID symbols in the process and instrumentation diagram. CADWorx IP uses an intuitive wizard which allows the user to determine which P&ID drawings, instrument loop diagrams and reports should be made available to the users of the published project.
Users viewing a published CADWorx IP project can also show/hide layers and annotate the P&ID drawings. Any reports and instrument loop diagrams published with the project are also available.
Projects can be published to the internet, the company intranet or locally.
Example Intergraph CADWorx IP project.
Set up a new project database and configure all the fields and tables, set up a Model directory structure to organise your models most efficiently and select the specifications required for the project. Associated data files are copied to the designated project folder.
Define secure individual user access on a per project basis. Each user accesses their own manager-customised CADWorx Data Tracker features. Project information can also be set to read-only where required.
Keep in control by tracking which users are accessing the project and the actions that they are performing. Report on this Project log to confirm users' actions, including the time and date that each action was performed.
Project Data Input forms can be configured by adding text boxes or drop down lists, and map any fields in the project database to these. Individual items can also be set to read-only. Form configuration is saved on a per project basis and data for components can be input using these forms. CADWorx drawings are subsequently synchronised with the updated database, reflecting all changes.
Reports are configured using a simple wizard interface. Each report configuration is saved and reports can be exported in an Excel format. Reports and any changes can also be re-imported into the project database.
Project revisions can be created to give a snapshot of the project at any point in time. These revisions can be compared with each other and the Live Project, to determine any new, changed or deleted items. The results of each comparison are output to an Excel spreadsheet, with the differences highlighted.
